To someone who has shoplifted, CONFIDENTIALITY IS CRITICAL. Most people are too ashamed or too afraid to expose their secret … even to accept help.
This is why we will help you even if you do not wish to expose your identity to us. What we care about is helping you, not who you are.
OUR POLICY
Our policy and practice is NEVER to reveal the identity and/or any information about an individual who has shared personal information and/or participated in our programs or services without the prior approval of that individual. This policy extends throughout a person’s lifetime, not just while participating with us.
We further assert and guarantee that our organization is in no way connected or affiliated with any governing body, any employer, law enforcement, national security or any other person or group which might exert a harmful influence on any individual.
In some instances, individuals will want us to provide direct feedback to others or want our organization to contact their attorneys or the court in order for us to favorably speak out on their behalf. This requires a level of trust on the part of the individual. In these instances, the individual will have to provide us with a way to communicate with them.
